This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our influencer analytics and campaign management platform at faircreator.com and our Chrome Extension (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information You Provide

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using our Service, including:

• Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account
• Profile Information: Company name, job title, and other optional profile details
• Payment Information: Billing address and payment details (processed securely by our payment provider)
• Communication Data: Information you provide when contacting our support team
• Campaign Data: Creator lists, campaign notes, and collaboration details you input into the platform

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Service, we automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers
• Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, and referring URLs
• Usage Data: Features used, searches performed, and interactions with the Service

2.3 Third-Party Data

Our Service analyzes publicly available data from TikTok and other social media platforms through authorized APIs. This includes public profile information, engagement metrics, and content performance data of creators you choose to analyze. We do not collect private or non-public data from these platforms.

2.4 Chrome Extension

When you use the FairCreator Chrome Extension, we access the following data to provide extension functionality:

• Authentication Cookies: The extension reads your FairCreator login session (authentication token) from the faircreator.com domain. This token contains your email address and user ID, and is used solely to authenticate API requests on your behalf.
• Active Tab URL: When you open the extension, it reads the URL of your current browser tab to detect whether you are viewing a TikTok creator profile and to extract the creator's username.
• TikTok Username: The creator username extracted from the tab URL is sent to our API (api.faircreator.com) over HTTPS to retrieve analytics data.

How extension data is used: Authentication cookies are used exclusively to verify your identity when making API requests. The tab URL is processed locally in your browser — only the extracted TikTok username is transmitted to our servers. All data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

The extension does NOT:

• Access or read the content of any web page
• Track your browsing history or activity beyond the current tab
• Inject scripts or modify page content on any website
• Store any data locally beyond the browser session
• Collect analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking data
• Share your data with third parties for advertising or any purpose unrelated to the Service

Extension permissions explained: The cookies permission is required to read your login session from faircreator.com so you don't need to sign in separately. The activeTab permission is required to detect TikTok profile pages and extract the creator username from the URL. Host permissions for faircreator.com and api.faircreator.com are required to read authentication cookies and make API requests to our servers, respectively.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: To provide, operate, and maintain our influencer analytics platform
• Account Management: To create and manage your account, process subscriptions, and handle billing
• Analytics Processing: To analyze creator profiles and generate fair price estimates
• Communication: To send transactional emails, respond to inquiries, and provide customer support

Chrome Extension: Our Chrome Extension reads authentication cookies set by faircreator.com (specifically, the Supabase session token) to verify your login status. The extension does not set, modify, or delete any cookies. See Section 2.4 for full details.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations)

• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Chrome Extension: To stop the extension from accessing your data, uninstall it by visiting chrome://extensions in your browser and removing "FairCreator: TikTok Influencer Analytics". All extension permissions are revoked immediately upon uninstallation. Your FairCreator account and web login session remain unaffected.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Secure authentication mechanisms
• Regular security assessments and monitoring
• Access controls and employee training
• Secure data centers with industry-standard protections

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws.

When we transfer data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by relevant authorities to ensure your data remains protected.
